Dallas Mavericks finally Do It!

After all these years the Dallas Mavericks finally win their first Championship. The Dallas Mavericks defeat the Miami Heat in six games. Despite Dirk Nowitzki going 1 for 12 heading into the half the Mavericks go in the locker room with the lead of 53 - 51. That is because Jason Terry scored an amazing 19 points in the half. All of the Mavericks players played an outstanding game yesterday. Dirk Nowitzki finished off going 9 for 27 with 21 points and 11 rebounds. LeBron James had a quiet 21 points and 4 rebounds, Dwayne Wade had 17 points and 8 rebounds, and Chris Bosh went for 19 points and 8 rebounds. LeBron James once again did poorly in the 4th quarter only going 3 for 5 and 7 points. He also had a turnover when he stepped out of bounds. All in all the Miami Heat got outplayed throughout the whole game. The Dallas Mavericks got some great contributions from JJ Barea and DeShawn Stevenson who together generated four 3 point field goals.

Giants Are Holding Workouts At Bergen Catholic...

A noticeable list of Giants players practice at Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey. This list of names include Eli Manning, rookie RB Da'Rel Scott from Maryland, WR Jerrel Jernigan of Troy, hometown favorite WR Victor Cruz and the stand out first round pick for the Giants, CB Prince Amukamara. There were other Giants starters also at the workout. Rookie RB Da'Rel Scott said he's looking forward to "doing big things" but also says that the lockout is really effecting his chances of really learning the playbook (http://corner.bigblueinteractive.com/index.php?mode=2&thread=405647). I look forward to the upcoming Giants season. They have the talent to make some noise in the playoffs.

Austin Mason

I wanted to show my close friend, Austin Mason, some love on the website. Austin Mason is one of my closest friends from high school. Even though he goes to school very far away and I never get to chill out with him we keep in touch from time to time. Austin is another guy just trying to do something productive with his life and something he is doing right now is making his own Youtube series called "The Austin Experience". With these videos he shares hes opinions on different subjects. I watch the videos he post and i want you guys to show him love too! Gun Control Statistics & Reasoning

In the United States of America, the number of households with a gun was 47,600,000, which means in 1994 49% of households had a gun. The number of adults owning a gun in 1994 was 59,100,000. So out of all the adults living in the United States 31% of them were gun owners. The National Rifle Association is the biggest gun rights lobbying organization in the United States. To show this, in 1998, their political action committee gave a whopping $1,330,111 to the Republicans and another $285,700 to the Democrats. Handgun Control Incorporated has the exact opposite view on United States gun situation. Hangun Control Incorporated is also the largest lobbying organization in the United States but instead of gun rights they're for gun control. In 1998, their political action committee also gave money contributing $136,892 to the Democats and $9,500 the Republicans. I believe that the National Rifle Association is working very hard to get our laws changed because they contributed way more money. I believe that Handgun Control Incorporated doesn't have to give that much money because what they're pushing for is already in affect. In the United States in 1997, there were 15,289 murders alone. 10,369 of which were committed with firearms. Also in 1997 there were an inaccurate count of 7,927,000 violent crimes. Of these crimes 691,000 were committed using a firearm. Leading up to 1992, for every 14 committed violent crime, only one person was sentenced to prison. Also leading up to 1992, the average length of inprisonment for murder was 10 years, for rape it was 7.6 years, and for aggravated Assault it was 3.4 years.
