Gun Control Statistics & Reasoning
In the United States of America, the number of households with a gun was 47,600,000, which means in 1994 49% of households had a gun. The number of adults owning a gun in 1994 was 59,100,000. So out of all the adults living in the United States 31% of them were gun owners. The National Rifle Association is the biggest gun rights lobbying organization in the United States. To show this, in 1998, their political action committee gave a whopping $1,330,111 to the Republicans and another $285,700 to the Democrats. Handgun Control Incorporated has the exact opposite view on United States gun situation. Hangun Control Incorporated is also the largest lobbying organization in the United States but instead of gun rights they're for gun control. In 1998, their political action committee also gave money contributing $136,892 to the Democats and $9,500 the Republicans. I believe that the National Rifle Association is working very hard to get our laws changed because they contributed way more money. I believe that Handgun Control Incorporated doesn't have to give that much money because what they're pushing for is already in affect. In the United States in 1997, there were 15,289 murders alone. 10,369 of which were committed with firearms. Also in 1997 there were an inaccurate count of 7,927,000 violent crimes. Of these crimes 691,000 were committed using a firearm. Leading up to 1992, for every 14 committed violent crime, only one person was sentenced to prison. Also leading up to 1992, the average length of inprisonment for murder was 10 years, for rape it was 7.6 years, and for aggravated Assault it was 3.4 years.

The facts speak for themselves you paint a clear picture to what is going on in the political side of this issue. The statistics shown above clearly show how much money is being poured in by pro gun activisted in order to sway the politicians to change laws. This influences the peoples minds to with all the money comes ads and campaigns which are easy for people to get distracted by. The stats are surprising but not as surprising as the other stats the murder rates. The number of adults with guns is out of control. This many people feel the need to own a gun is madness. The number of crimes that we could avoid the number of lives we could save would be countless. We as a country should be pouring in money to keep guns off the street. We should encorperate this spending into our taxes In my mind a few extra dollars is well worth even one life
ReplyDeleteYou clearly know what your talking about but i still think you a dumb***. As a russian mobster i believe carrying gun does no harm its a way of life and protection for most people. For example as a hunter you need a gun as a way of life its what you do. As a mobster its also a way of life killing is your job and its also a way of protection because after you kill you need a way to protect yourself from the person whos going to kill you for killing the other person. So can you do me a favor and keep your well researched bull**** to yourself so the rest of us can get on with our lives.
ReplyDeletei think that your message is pretty clear an that all the facts an statistics make you sound real smart .. but i also think that ur gay because if u were to olive in all these citys an areas were the crime rate is so high you would carry a gun too. you cant look at the political side either cause there not out on the streets either.. now idk if wut im saying makes any sense or has to do with anything but all ur stuopid numbers an stats to try an make you sound smart are confussing the shit outa me.. an they do not make you cool or tough an im here to tell you that gay boy. i hope i see you on the street cause you will obvi not gbe carying a guna an i will have mine best believe ur guna get pistol wipped
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree and disagree with all of what you said. We are talking about gun control in today's society in America. I think we should talk about politics over here before we take them overseas. Guns are not to be taken lightly which shows through the facts you've listed in your blog. That also does not mean that every person who possesses a gun is going to go on a shooting rampage. Africa has larger epidemics like aids, but guns can take a life instantly which is what you need to realize before you go into your stupid blog and your list of facts. Lets worry about people on our streets first instead of people thats own people are to blame and their own people should take care of those problems while we have our hands full.
